Charity Begins at Home: The Ikhlas Computer Lab
Ajmal Ikhlas
After completing his studies abroad, Ajmal
Ikhlas returned to his native Paktia province with the commitment to serving
his community. He set up a computer lab for the Chamkany High School where his
father, Ikhlas received his early education. The lab is named Ikhlas to honour
his father. Ikhlas means sincerity, devotion and true to the name, the lab is
providing computer literacy to the students of this remote area, promoting
education and peace. The lab launched in January 2012 by Ajmal
Ikhlas’ Organization for Relief and Sustainable Rural Development (ORSRD) and
is funded by PRT-Gardez.
